The International Proficiency Examination for Non-Arabic Speakers is a carefully designed exam that is directed to all non-Arabic speakers around the world who want to test their different abilities in this language. The exam adopts multiple strategies in its design:

• The exam relies mainly on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages in examining applicants for the exam
• The exam divides the language levels into six levels: A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2, meaning from beginner to advanced.
• The student can take the exam at any level he/she deems him/herself capable of taking it. However, if he/she wants a certificate that qualifies him/her to work in the Arabic language, he/she must take the B2 exam.
• You cannot take the B2 exam before passing the B1 exam

We are currently working on developing the exam electronically, so that applicants can take it Online.

Exam passing mark is 60%

If the student successfully passes the level for which he/she applied, he/she will receive an official certificate from An-Najah National University-Nablus-Palestine, stating the student's result and the level he/she passed.

The target group for this exam:

This exam is aimed at every learner of the Arabic language from non-native speakers around the world, as it examines the levels from beginner to distinguished according to the four language skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing.

However, its main location is now in Greece, as the Greek parliament recognized this exam and its accompliance with the European reference framework for languages, and the An-Najah University certificate became part of a Greek law for the Arabic language.

An-Najah has signed agreements with Greek universities such as the Piraeus University, the University of Western Attica in Athens, and with the Institute of Balkan Studies in Thessaloniki, northern Greece.

Each exam is divided into four skills: listening, writing, reading and speaking.

Each section of the exam has its own time.

The exam is held twice during the year at specific times to be announced, supervised by a team specialized in preparation and conduct.

Examination results shall be announced within a month and a half of its performance.

The exam is usually held:

• The first session: at the beginning of January, on-site, in Greece or at An-Najah University.
• The second session: at the beginning of July and is available in Greece or at An-Najah National University.
